What Do Viruses Attack on my Computer?
Viruses can attack any file on the hard drive but they usually attack files that
are frequently opened. Becase of this, most viruses attack files with the
extensions .com, .exe, .dll, .bin, .pif. This is to ensure that the viruse will
be ran again.
Some viruses will run a program that they need to use and delete it, replacing it
with the file that it has altered. This can cause the computer to run differently
and make it easier for the virus to spread.
Viruses can also attack any file on the computer at random, or they can be
programed to only attack specific files.
